The Classic Breadboard©

The Classic Breadboard©, this is the breadboard your great grandmother had. Created with traditional breadboard ends and gentle curves; distinctive features unique to Classic Woodworking Factory’s Classic Breadboard©. These are over an inch thick and about one and a half feet wide and two feet long.

Based on several years of research, it appears that there is no other source of traditional breadboards being offered to the public as of March 2021. Further research suggest that at some point in the mid twentieth century (1960 or so), production of true breadboards ceased. The closest thing being made today looks to be “dough boards” that are being offered by an Amish woodworking company.

There does seem to be an endless number of woodworkers making cutting boards and the now trendy charcuterie boards. These cutting boards and French serving boards tend to be about half to three quarters the size of the Classic Breadboard© and often look to be designed as gift items. The Classic Breadboard© is made for people who cook.
